Teacher investigated for abusing teenager gets pregnant by another student in England | World and Science

Mathematics teacher Rebecca Joynes, 30, became pregnant by a student while awaiting investigations into the abuse of a 15-year-old teenager in Manchester, England. The woman was free on bail and, according to a court order, she could not approach anyone under 18 years of age. She is accused of six sexual involvements with children by the Crown Court, but denies the relationship with the young people.

Rebecca’s approach to young A was made after she gave ten numbers from her phone and proposed a challenge for him to “guess” the eleventh. According to the prosecution, it was just a strategy to exchange messages with the student.

According to the British newspaper Daily Star, Rebecca took the young girl after class to go shopping in a Manchester shopping mall. After presenting him with a Gucci brand belt, worth £350 (approximately R$2,275), they went to the apartment where the teacher lived, in the Salford Quays neighborhood.

Once at the residence, the teacher allegedly had a relationship with the teenager and repeatedly said that “no one could find out”, according to the statement given by the young man to the police. They would have had sex another time, when the student decided not to continue with the situation, for fear of his mother finding out.

The police investigation was launched after the matter became known and Joynes was suspended by the school. Although she told authorities that no sexual activity occurred, she was released on bail with the condition that she not have unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 18.

However, while waiting for investigations, the other case came to light when the teacher informed the other young person 9 (young B) that she was pregnant. The second boy is the father of Joynes’ youngest daughter, but she still claims that sexual activity with Boy B only began when he turned 16.

Rebecca denies that she had a relationship with Young A twice, and with Young B, while she was still under “the teacher’s trust”. The trial, which has already lasted two weeks, continues.
