Actress Claudia Raia, 57 years old, announced the end of her contract with Globo after a 40-year professional history built at the broadcaster. She spoke about her farewell during an interview with Roda Viva this Monday (6) and talked about upcoming projects outside of television.
After her last brief stint on “Terra e Paixão”, in 2023, as Emengarda, she will not return to acting on television anytime soon. “My contract with Globo ends in July this year. I turned 40 in March on Globo without interruption. It’s a great farewell for me, full of gratitude, joy at having made my story there,” she said.
“I built many alliances, many friends, many extended hands I had. I built all my professional training, all created there with those people. I am extremely grateful to Marinho, Boni, Daniel Filho, all the people who reached out to me, so many important things I did there”, he added.
Despite this, she was open to new appearances on the network in the future. “I’m leaving for one see you later because my story with Globo will always be a love relationship because it’s been like that since I was 17 years old, when I got there”, she highlighted.
Finally, Claudia highlighted the reason: “It ends because life is changing, things are changing and everything is fine. These are projects that I have coming up, things that are starting because I haven’t finished my contract yet.”
New projects
The actress has dedicated herself to a season in theater with the show “Tarsila, A Brasileira” in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. According to her, for the second semester she has plans to resume “Conserto para Dois-O Musical” alongside her husband, Jarbas Homem de Mello.
