Gabriela Duarte supports criticism of Globo after Regina Duarte was left out of a special with Manoel Carlos: ‘Seems to act with contempt’

Regina Duarte was left out of the special “Tribute” to author Manoel Carlos that Globe aired last Friday (3). Now retired, at 91 years old, with an incurable illness, and after losing three of his five children, Maneco saw the actress play Helena three times in her soap operas, thus becoming the record holder. First in “História de Amor” (1995 and recently rerun on Viva), then in “Por Amor” (1997) and, finally, in “Páginas da Vida” (2006).

With a shaken relationship with Globo since he quickly assumed a position in the administration of former president Jair Bolsonaro, the Brazil’s eternal sweetheart was defended by her daughter, Gabriela Duarte, on Instagram Storiesthis Saturday, for not being called to give a statement in honor of Maneco, who left a soap opera after a tragedy involving the actor.
