Ana Maria Braga cries in conversation with the owner of a dog that died on a flight

Presenter Ana Maria Braga was emotional during a live conversation on ‘Mais Você’ (TV Globo) with the owner of her dog Joca, who died after an operational failure by Gollog, an arm of the airline Gol, last Monday (22 ).

João Fantazzini, the Golden Retriever’s owner, spoke about the fatality. “They treat our dogs, who are like children to us, like burdens,” he said.

The 5-year-old dog boarded with Fantazzini at Guarulhos International Airport (SP) and was supposed to disembark in Sinop (MT), but ended up being taken to Fortaleza (CE). According to the family, the company did not provide the animal with the necessary care. The National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac) announced that it is investigating the case.

Moved by the boy’s testimony, Ana Maria tried to reassure him. “When my first dog died, my first child, they told me: ‘Look, there will be another one, who will come and give you affection’ and it will, you’ll see. I know it’s impossible for you to think about that now, but believe me”, highlighted the presenter.
