At the end of last year, Clara Moneke cut her hair, before finding out that she would join the cast of No Rancho Fundo. The actress, who plays Caridade in the new six o’clock soap opera, he didn’t imagine that Globo would approve of his natural look and thought they would opt for a wig or wire extension, as was considered.

In characterization tests, however, the plot team gave up on the idea of ​​lengthening her locks because they saw that her image matched that of the character. “I had cut my hair before I knew I would do the soap opera, when I accepted I didn’t imagine they would leave me like that because a black, dark woman, with very short hair, practically bald, is so strong in a soap opera”, she said.

“It’s a very provocative image for the society that dictates what is beautiful and beautiful all the time. I’m not fair, I’m all black and still without hair… And I’m sure people will see that as beautiful” , followed.

Speaking to F5, Clara Moneke highlighted that she hopes this inspires other women: “I hope it serves as an inspiration for women. What I hear most is: ‘Wow, my dream is to cut my hair like that, but I don’t have the courage’ “.
