I forgot my cell phone unlock password: how to solve it

Connect the iPhone to the computer to sync;
Open iTunes. If asked for a password, use recovery mode;
iTunes will automatically sync your device. After completion, take the backup;
When both are complete, click Restore iPhone;
On the configuration screen, while restoring the device, click Restore from an iTunes Backup;
Finally, select your device in iTunes and click on the newly created backup;
After this procedure, your device will be the same as before, with all the files, but without the access password.

Recovery Mode

If, for some reason, it doesn’t work or you have never synchronized your device with iTunes, the solution is to try recovery mode.

It is worth remembering that the action will erase all data on the device, so, again, it is important to always have a backup up to date.

Connect the device to the computer via cable and open iTunes. With it connected, force restart:

iPhone 6S and earlier: Press and hold the home and top (or side) buttons at the same time until the recovery mode screen appears;
iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus: press and hold the side and volume down buttons simultaneously until the recovery mode screen appears;
iPhone X, iPhone 8, or iPhone 8 Plus: Press and quickly release the volume up button. Once done, hold down the side button until the recovery mode screen appears;
When the options appear To restore or To updateselect To restore;
Wait for iTunes to download the software to your device;
Once this is done, configure the device again.
