Samsung expands line of OLED TVs with affordable model and new sizes

Samsung announced new features in its line of OLED 2024 smart TVs this Monday (6), with the arrival of affordable S85D series and more size options for the S90D line. The recent additions join the S95D models, equipped with Glare Free anti-glare technology.

Bringing 4K resolution and the Samsung NQ4 AI Gen 2 processor, the S85D line is available in 55, 65 and 77 inch sizes with HDR10+ and 120 Hz refresh rate. The screens display “pure blacks and brilliant whites for dramatic viewing experiences,” according to the manufacturer.

Features like Dolby Atmos and four HDMI 2.1 ports are also available. The new televisions also feature Motion Xcelerator technology, offering images without delay and blur when playing games, as well as an “elegant and bold” look.

Like the other models launched this year, the Samsung S85D series is compatible with the Samsung Gaming Hub, to play without the need for a console. The operating system is Tizen, allowing you to create a profile for each family member and includes the Samsung TV Plus platform.

New sizes of the S90D series

Launched by the South Korean giant in March, the smart TV S90D hit stores in 55, 65 and 77 inch sizes. Now, there are three more options available to consumers, including smaller models and an even larger one.

The new sizes of the S90D line are 42, 48 and 83 inchesall screens featuring Motion Xcelerator 144 Hz. The updated game bar is another highlight, offering access to several features.

One of them is AI Auto Game Mode, which uses artificial intelligence to identify the genre of the game being played, automatically making image and sound adjustments. In the case of an RPG, there is increased lighting in certain areas so that you can see hidden elements.

In the game bar, the user can also change screen aspect ratio and trigger virtual aiming point and minimap auto-detectionwhich can be useful in different games.
