The first smartphone in the world to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset could be released in mid-October this year. The information was revealed by leaker Digital Chat Station in a post on the social network Weibo.

According to the DCS, everything indicates that Qualcomm should hold its conference in the second half of October, allowing manufacturers to announce their smartphones with the chip at the end of the month.

Furthermore, he also confirmed that the processor must have the “2+6” architecture, which indicates the presence of two high-performance cores with clock speeds that can range from 3.6 to 4 GHz.

On the other hand, the remaining six cores must focus on energy efficiency. In practice, DCS believes this set can score around 2,700 points in single-core testing and 10,000 points in multi-core testing on Geekbench 6.

As for the first smartphone that should come out of the box with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, DCS believes it could be the Xiaomi 15, since the Chinese manufacturer has already closed a priority agreement with Qualcomm.

Next, OnePlus is expected to present its new flagship, “opening the doors” so that vivo, OPPO and even Samsung can use the chipset in their smartphones.

For now, Qualcomm and the manufacturers mentioned do not comment on the matter.
