The aesthetics of the new thrift store, opened in Jardim dos Estados, attracts the attention of those who pass by Rua Euclides da Cunha, as it is very similar to famous department stores. When you look at it, it’s as if Forever 21 and Shein had a baby. Clothing items have a minimum price of R$25 and a maximum of R$300. The racks are organized by color, print and size and the collection has over 14 thousand items. The store is also an option for those who want to let go of clothes stuck in their closet.

The thrift store was created in the garage of thrift store Marisa Rezende, in Maringá, Paraná, when she decided to sell her and a friend’s items. Today, Dig For Fashion has 12 stores spread across the country. The person responsible for the collab in Campo Grande is manager Ana Cláudia Dornelles, 31, who was transferred from the Blumenau unit, in Santa Catarina, to take over the store in the capital of Mato Grosso do Sul.

“The visual image of the store is very striking, because Marisa brought references from thrift stores from the United States. There are 14 thousand pieces and different classifications, there will be something for all tastes. Everything is divided by size and we don’t distinguish clothes by gender, which is why we have straight-cut racks”, highlights manager Ana Cláudia.

Unlike most thrift stores, Dig For Fashion has the option to return and exchange items, which works the same as in new parts stores. The customer simply needs to bring the labeled item and the purchase receipt.

With a proposal to encourage circular and accessible fashion, they work with the purchase, exchange and sale of pieces, for those interested in letting go of clothes, shoes and accessories that are gathering dust – but in good condition – in their wardrobe.

Those interested have the option of selling the clothes to the store’s collection, and receiving the value in pix, or exchanging the items for new pieces. This way, clothes in good condition continue to circulate, and consumers renew their looks in a sustainable way, which is precisely what circular fashion is all about.

The store has a variety of clothes with prints, textures and colors. Starting with the rack of autumn/winter pieces, the current season, there are blazers, knitwear, cardigans and coats. In the store, it is possible to purchase a blazer for R$60, a price much lower than that found in new parts stores.

For jeans lovers, shorts and pants start at 30, and can be found in different lengths, washes and styles, from the most basic, to ripped, shorter, longer, and printed models. For those looking for a classic yet affordable style, dress pants and tailored style pants can be found in the store from R$40.

Skirts with different prints, colors and fabrics start at R$30, while long and casual dresses range from R$30 to R$60. The most expensive piece found in the store was on the rack of straight-cut pieces , with blazers, suits and coats starting at R$70.

In the store, consumers can even find flower-shaped hair clips, which went viral after model and actress Yasmin Brunet appeared wearing the accessory in this year’s edition of the reality show BBB (Big Brother Brasil). Each unit costs R$15.

For those who like the “different” accessories that are popular on TikTok, the store sells necklaces with teddy bear pendants, sweets, drinks and lollipop earrings. Those who don’t like something so flashy have the option of more discreet chains, in gold and silver.

The accessories section also includes sunglasses, visors, watches, belts, caps, hats, scarves and scarves. Prices vary between R$7 and R$40, depending on the product.

The store is located at Rua Euclides da Cunha, 1111, Jardim dos Estados. Opening hours are from 9am to 7pm.
