Tite’s contractual situation at Flamengo is highlighted in light of a possible dismissal. If the Rio club decides to terminate the coach’s contract, it will have to pay a significant amount. According to information from the newspaper O Globo, Tite’s termination fine is set at R$7 million, an amount that corresponds to the total salary that the coach would receive until the end of his contract in December, with the observation that this amount tends to decrease as time goes by.

This contractual condition appears to be more advantageous for Flamengo when compared to previous situations of other coaches. For example, Jorge Sampaoli, when he was dismissed from the club after unsatisfactory results in important competitions such as the Copa Libertadores and Copa do Brasil, had a termination fine of R$10 million, an amount higher than that stipulated for Tite. Sampaoli’s time was also marked by incidents that further aggravated the climate of instability in the squad.

The case of Vítor Pereira is also relevant in the comparative analysis. The Portuguese coach, who left Flamengo in April 2023, had an even higher termination fine, set at R$15 million. Vítor Pereira’s farewell occurred after the defeat in the final of the Campeonato Carioca against Fluminense, marking the end of his journey in charge of the red and black team.

This analysis not only highlights the financial repercussions of administrative decisions on Flamengo’s football but also the consequences that off-field problems can have on the environment of a big club. In this context, Flamengo continues to seek technical stability and success in the championships it competes in, always under the shadow of contractual decisions that could significantly impact its finances.

When will Flamengo’s next game be?
