Rome Italy) – TennisTV cameras captured a curious moment on the secondary courts of Foro Italico. Kazakh Alexander Bublik barely celebrated his debut victory in doubles and immediately moved to the court next door to practice with Russian Daniil Medvedev.

Bublik partnered with North American Ben Shelton and both eliminated the duet formed by Frances Tiafoe and Félix Auger-Aliassime, by 6/1, 6/7 (6-8) and 10-7, in a match formed by four players from singles within the new standard for the Masters 1000 doubles bracket.

They could be the opponents of Marcelo Melo and German Alexander Zverev in the second round, if the duo from Minas Gerais manages to overcome the tough first round against the 4 seeds of the week, Austin Krajicek and Neal Skupski.

Bublik entered directly into the second round of singles as the 15th seed and starts against Portuguese Nuno Borges.
