Ferrari will use its permitted Formula 1 filming days to validate a significant package of updates ahead of the Emilia Romagna GP, according to Italian media.

The Scuderia’s aim to bring a major upgrade package to Imola has been known for some time, with the team focusing on a new ‘sidepod’ design inspired by the Red Bull RB20.

Private in-season testing with current cars is prohibited, but each team is entitled to two days of 200km filming throughout the year, supposedly for promotional purposes. However, these sessions are often used to evaluate a car for the first time before pre-season testing.
