O Palm trees announced last Tuesday (7) that it will promote new social actions with the aim of offering assistance to victims of heavy rains in Rio Grande do Sul.

In matches against Liverpool-URU, in Montevideo, for the group stage of the CONMEBOL Libertadoresand in front of Athletico-PRat Arena Barueri, at Brasileirãothe shirts of Verdão players will have a printed QR Codein order to publicize the donation campaign carried out by the NGO Citizenship Action.

Furthermore, Alviverde will allocate all net proceeds from the game against Athletico-PR to the victims of the environmental disaster, at 4pm (Brasília time) next Sunday (12).

It is estimated that more than 1.4 million of people have already been affected by storms in the state.

“We are all devastated by the tragedy that is affecting Rio Grande do Sul and we will do everything in our power to contribute to the people of Rio Grande do Sul at this very difficult time”, said the president of Palmeiras, Leila Pereira.

Thus, Alviverde will be the first club in the Brazilian Series A to donate the entire proceeds from a match to help the gauchos.
