While the Abrafut and the Commission of arbitration from the CBF hold a press conference to defend national referees, to the point where the association promises to prosecute anyone who makes accusations or insinuations without evidence, one of Brazil’s main judges is harshly criticized in South America. Anderson Daronco performed poorly and was challenged in Nacional (URU) 2 x 2 River Plate (ARG)last Tuesday (7/5), by Libertadores-2024.
Vice-president of Abrafut, Anderson Daronco failed to send off at least two Nacional players, one of them in a flying tackle with both soles on the opponent. O VAR Wagner Reway recommends review and gives indications of suggesting a red card.
Despite this very dangerous move and a punch to the face, both given by Nacional athletes, Daronco chose to give only yellow cardwhich left the video referee mute.
