Cruzeiro guarantees more than R$5 million in prize money with victory in the South American Championship; see projection | cruise

Cruzeiro surpassed the R$ 5 million prize pool in Conmebol Sul-Americana with its first victory in the 2024 edition. With the 3-0 victory over Alianza, from Colombia, it won 115 thousand dollars (around R$ 585 thousand at the current price) .

South American: Cruzeiro wins first and dreams of direct classification

Added to the 900 thousand dollars already guaranteed, around R$4.6 million, for participating in the group stage of the South American Championship, Cruzeiro exceeds the R$5 million prize pool. The celestial team will be able to increase their gains in the next two rounds.

If they manage to beat La Calera and Universidad Catolica, in Belo Horizonte, Cruzeiro will increase their earnings to more than R$6 million. The prize is important for the club’s cash balance.

If they qualify in second place in Group B, Cruzeiro will compete in a playoff with one of the third-placed teams in the Libertadores. At this stage, there are 500 thousand dollars (R$ 2.5 million) in prize money. If it goes to the round of 16, it’s 600 thousand dollars (R$ 3 million). On Wednesdays, there are 700 thousand (R$ 3.5 million).

In the semi-final, if it reaches, Cruzeiro will guarantee 800 thousand dollars (R$ 4 million). If the decision is reached, there will be 2 million dollars (R$ 10 million) for the runner-up and 6 million dollars (R$ 30 million) for the winner.
