Under-17 striker Felipe Quinélli said goodbye to Santos on social media. The player’s release must still be published in the IDB (CBF Daily Newsletter). The boy arrived at Peixe’s base in August last year after being the top scorer in the Campeonato Paulista U-15 with Marília and even nicknamed ‘Haaland Maqueano’.

When contracted in 2023, the negotiation did not involve values, but a future percentage of sales. He had been playing for the Under-15s and this year he is in his first year with the Under-17s. Including scoring goals for coach Elder Campos’ team for Paulista and Copa Buh. In the state championship he scored against Jabaquara while in the unofficial tournament he found the net on five occasions.

“My cycle with Santos ends here, I say goodbye to this club that I learned to respect in these 8 months of work, I had the honor of defending one of the biggest clubs in Brazil. I experienced moments that will never be forgotten in this Club and in this welcoming city of Santos, I am sure that the size of this Club will soon be back to its rightful place, which is the National Football Elite. I leave with my head held high, I can say that I gave my best, on the field I played for 320 minutes and 10 goals, that is, an average of 2.5 goals per match…I will miss my teammates, management, coaching staff and Club employees. From now on I will no longer be a Santos player, but I will always be one of you. Thank you very much!” Quinélli posted on Instagram.

Now, Peixe has made 36 appearances in the men’s youth categories. Some players were out of age and did not have their contracts renewed, others asked for termination or were released due to lack of minutes. Other players already had unfinished contracts. Meanwhile, there are 29 signings for the men’s categories. There are five for the Under-20s, eleven for the Under-17s and thirteen new athletes for the Under-15s.
