The president of the Paraíba Football Federation (FPF-PB), Michelle Ramalho, was one of the personalities invited to the Miami Formula 1 GP, the sixth stage of the 2024 season. Passing through the United States and a declared fan of motorsport, the leader took advantage the weekend to enjoy another race in the category.
– Whenever I can, I go and see Formula 1 up close. It’s absolutely fantastic, a world apart. It is a unique and exciting experience, in which I was able to admire the incredible skill of the drivers and feel the contagious energy from the stands – said Michelle Ramalho, who made a point of meeting with Christian Horner, head of RBR.
The race in Miami was won by Lando Norris, from McLaren. The Englishman broke his fast, achieving his first F1 triumph – previously, he was the driver with the most podiums without victories (15).
Without declaring support for any particular driver, Michelle Ramalho preferred to compare the F1 environment with the world of football.
– Everything is different. The involvement of the city, the people… The party around the circuit. Everything reminds me of a World Cup. I think that’s why I identify so much with Formula 1 – said Michelle, who, among many other football personalities, met in Miami with the president of FIFA, Gianni Infantino.
But the director’s vacation ended precisely with the Formula 1 weekend. Michelle arrives in Paraíba today to deal with the Paraíba football calendar in the second semester and, in particular, the definition of the 2nd Division Paraíba Championship.
