The quarterfinals continue! Fortaleza Basquete Cearense and Flamengo will face each other again, this Friday (7), in the NBB playoffs. The stage for game 2 will be the Olympic Training Center Gymnasium, in Fortaleza, with the ball expected to go up at 7:30 pm. In addition, Fla TV+, Sportv, and NBB Basquetpass (pay-per-view) broadcast the duel live.

In the first match, he beat Mengão 79 to 71, in Rio de Janeiro. There, the highlight was Gabriel Jaú’s great performance on both sides of the court. The power forward finished with 22 points, eight rebounds, three steals, and one assist. On Fortaleza’s side, the best performer was guard Sebastian Orresta, who scored 14 points and seven rebounds.

During the regular season, Flamengo was the best team, with 31 wins and just five defeats. On the other hand, Fortaleza had a solid campaign and finished in eighth place, with 20 triumphs and 16 stumbles. In the round of 16 of the NBB, Mengão beat Botafogo 2-0, while Leão do Pici defeated São José by the same score.

Furthermore, it is worth remembering that the quarterfinals are defined in a best of five matches, with the first being at the home of the team with the best campaign. On the other hand, in the following two clashes, the home team is the team with the worst record. Finally, if necessary, games 4 and 5 return to the home of the best placed team. The third game, then, is scheduled for next Thursday (9), at 7:30 pm, again at Ginásio CFO, in Fortaleza.
