Anyone who believes that the Williams is stagnant in relation to the pilot market Formula 1 to 2025. The indefinite situation of Logan Sergeantthe possible ‘lightning’ passage of Andrea Kimi Antonelli or even if Albon decides not to extend his contract beyond next year, opens up an opportunity for James Vowles Act.

There are rumors that Kimi Antonelli, a great promise from Mercedes, should take over Logan Sargeant’s car at Imola and finish 2024 as Alex Albon’s teammate as a way of preparing to reach the ‘Silver Arrows’ seat the following year.

As a result, one place would be ‘blank’ on the British team. Aiming to fill this gap, the team would already be surveying and starting conversations with two drivers on the current grid, according to F1 journalist Lawrance Barretto, one of whom is Valtteri Bottas.

The Finn only has a contract until the end of this season and is now fighting with Zhou Guanyu – or even Carlos Sainz – to stay at Sauber/Audi. A move to Williams could guarantee the driver at least another year in the category.

The other name mentioned by Barretto is Pierre Gasly. The Frenchman only has a contract with Alpine until the end of 2024 and there have still been no talks about a possible renewal – from either side. It is worth noting that the journalist also puts Esteban Ocon as a candidate and emphasizes the fact that the three veterans were interested in the team’s project.
