Marlon Freitas understands that Artur Jorge’s philosophy ‘enhances’ his playing style at Botafogo and says: ‘There are a lot of good things ahead’

Team captain, leader and technically in great shape, Marlon Freitas turned around. In an interview with Botafogo TV this Thursday (2/5), the midfielder highlighted his focus on continuing to perform and have good performances for the black and white team in 2024.

– It’s a lot of work, dedication, commitment. I know who I am, what brought me here, the support of my family, the coaching staff, the board. It helps a lot to perform at your best. I thank my companions. It’s an important phase, an important moment, we are growing, buying into Mister Artur’s (Jorge) idea. It’s about continuing the work, there are a lot of good things ahead, with humility, feet on the ground, to achieve great things this year – highlighted Marlon Freitas.

Spared in the 1-0 victory over Vitória, in the first game of the third phase of the Copa do Brasil, Marlon Freitas stood out in the classic against Flamengo, with strong marking, game vision and shots. He praised the coach Arthur Jorge.

– It’s a characteristic I have. Mister’s philosophy helps my style of play, it’s empowering me. I am happy. It’s important to be helping, the group is strong, it’s highly competitive, there are several quality people in my sector. Whoever plays will get the job done.
