Hulk, Atlético’s striker since January 2021, revealed what impresses him most about the Brazilian Championship. At 37 years old, the player also has spent time in Japan, Portugal, Russia and China.
“All these leagues are difficult to make a comparison. Of course, each one has its own particularities. What impresses me about the Brazilian Championship is the technical quality. There are many quality players”, said Galo’s number 7.

Indirectly, the attacker never fails to praise the commanders. The success of the national tournament, in Hulk’s opinion, depends on the union between coaches and players. “Today the teams are much better trained. You combine technical quality with tactical obedience, this makes the competition much more valuable. This is what has been happening in recent years.”
Another factor that gives the Brazilian Championship an advantage over other leagues is competitiveness: “You start the competition with three or four favorites and, later, two of them don’t even finish in the top five. In other words, it is a very competitive championship. It requires a lot of concentration and focus to not be surprised and fall behind.”
Hulk for Atlético
Hulk arrived at Atlético in January 2021. In just over three years, he entered the field wearing the black and white shirt 190 times. The number 7 has 102 goals and 38 assists. With Galo, he won four editions of the Campeonato Mineiro (2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024), one of the Campeonato Brasileiro (2021), one of the Copa do Brasil (2021) and one of the Supercup (2022).
