One of the greatest rivalries in the history of Ultimate must end without a winner in the total of confrontations. This Friday (3), Alex ‘Poatan’ attended a question and answer session with fans to promote UFC Rio, an event scheduled to take place this Saturday (4), and put an end to the possible trilogy with Israel Adesanya (see below or click here), his biggest opponent in combat sports.

In the first fight, held in 2022, ‘Poatan’ knocked out the Nigerian and became middleweight champion (84 kg). In the immediate rematch, held a year later, Adesanya regained the category belt by knocking out the Brazilian, beating him for the first time in his career in four fights, adding two others in kickboxing. As he came from scratch, the athlete denied having any interest in facing Alex again. Therefore, the São Paulo native, light heavyweight champion (93 kg) and who is considering moving up to heavyweight, also rules out facing Israel.

“I ended up forgetting and now I see a statement from him that he is also not interested. So, I think he died“, declared the UFC champion.
