Throughout the 2023 season, Santos paid R$17 million in commissions to businesspeople for intermediation in negotiations carried out by the Vila Belmiro club. The largest amount of this amount was deposited into the accounts of Giuliano Bertolucci, responsible for taking the boys Deivid Washington and Ângelo to Chelsea, from England.

The document, however, does not detail the recipient and the value of each transfer. Although the amount is high, paying commissions to businesspeople is a common practice in the football market. The percentage given to Santos is also within what is practiced in other clubs.

In 2022, the year in which it raised R$70.5 million from the sale of players, Santos paid R$4.8 million in commissions – equivalent to 6.8% of the money that entered its coffers.
