The document, however, does not detail the recipient and the value of each transfer. Although the amount is high, paying commissions to businesspeople is a common practice in the football market. The percentage given to Santos is also within what is practiced in other clubs.
In 2022, the year in which it raised R$70.5 million from the sale of players, Santos paid R$4.8 million in commissions – equivalent to 6.8% of the money that entered its coffers.
