Atlético faces Sport, this Tuesday (30/4), at 9:30 pm, at Arena MRV, in the first leg of the Copa do Brasil. The expectation is and a full house for the confrontation.
Galo released, on Tuesday afternoon, the partial number of tickets sold for the duel. In a note published on the official website, the club said that 37 thousand athletes have already guaranteed their presence at Arena MRV.
Atlético in the Brazilian Cup
Atlético and Sport have already faced each other for the Copa do Brasil in four seasons: 1995, 2002, 2003 and 2010. The record is favorable to Galo, who qualified in three of these opportunities (1995, 2002 and 2010).
The clashes took place, in order: for the first phase, the second phase, the quarter-finals and the round of 16 of the knockout tournament. In the last one, in 2010, Atlético won both matches: 1-0 at home and 2-0 away.
In 2024, the return game between the teams will be played at Arena Pernambuco. The duel will take place from 7pm on May 22nd.
Galo is looking for a third championship (2014 and 2021), while Sport wants a second title (2008).
