Every Olympic cycle, the Brazilian Club Committee – CBC – publishes the national ranking of all 212 clubs in Brazil.

In the Paris 2024 cycle (2021-2023), the Clube de Regatas do Flamengo moved up one position in the ranking and secured second place, according to the criteria adopted from the general medal table. Pinheiros occupies first place with 203 points, followed by Flamengo with 172 and Minas with 156. If we only take into account the number of gold medals, Flamengo would be in first place.

In adults, Flamengo won gold in men’s and women’s rowing, women’s artistic swimming and women’s artistic gymnastics. Women’s water polo took silver and men’s basketball took bronze.

Mais Querido also did well at the base. There were five gold medals – women’s artistic gymnastics, women’s swimming, rowing in both groups, and women’s volleyball. Men’s swimming and 3X3 basketball came in second.

It is also worth highlighting that 82% of Brazil’s gold medals won at the Pan de Santiago were athletes trained in clubs. At Flamengo, Guilherme Caribé with three and Rebeca Andrade with two contributed to this percentage.

The calculation of the CBC’s QGM comes from the sum total of the number of gold, silver and bronze medals distributed to the Clubs in each calendar year of the Cycle, defined through the Rankings of the Main Competition and Base Categories, by Sport and by Gender.
