Vasco will not have Payet for the game against Fortaleza, at 7pm this Wednesday, in the first leg of the third phase of the Copa do Brasil. The team left for the capital of Ceará this Tuesday afternoon without the Frenchman.

Payet has just recovered from an injury to his right knee and did not do very well in the game against Criciúma, when he played in the first 45 minutes. The number 10 will be training in Rio de Janeiro.
– Athlete Dimitri Payet will continue with performance work, according to a schedule pre-established by DESP, and will not be involved in the game against Fortaleza – informed the club.
New football director, Pedro Martins, accompanies the delegation. CEO Lúcio Barbosa also traveled.
A new addition to the squad is Guilherme Estrella, midfielder for the under-20s. He was champion of the Copa Rio with the base team on Sunday and has the trust of coach Rafael Paiva, who will lead Vasco on an interim basis this Wednesday.
