With a contract until the end of 2024 with the Flamengo, Gabigol has not yet agreed a renewal with the Rio club. And there are teams keeping an eye on the number 10, such as cruise.
In an interview with the Donos da Bola program, on TV Bandeirantes, this Tuesday (30), Marcelo Moreno, former Raposa striker, revealed that Pedrou Lourenço, who recently acquired SAF which was commanded by Ronaldo ‘Fenômeno’, aims Gabigol as the first major reinforcement of his administration.
“Pedrinho has been a friend of mine since 2007, when I arrived at Cruzeiro. He’s a real fan, he contributes money from his pocket, without interest in anything. A sensational guy who deserves what’s happening now. From what I’ve heard, maybe he can warm this up in the market so that Gabigol can have a new club in Brazil”, he highlighted.
“As Pedrinho said at his press conference, he’s going to have to invest in a great player. Alexandre Mattos just arrived at the club, we were Brazilian champions. I know he likes to bring in a player of Gabigol’s ability. He’s a great, a killer guy since Santos, is always fighting for artillery. It would be an excellent signing for Cruzeiro”, he added.
With the future still undefined, Gabigol is free to return to play for Flamengo. The club announced this Tuesday morning that the striker’s defense had obtained a suspensive effect from the Court of Arbitration for Sport for a two-year punishment for attempted fraud in an anti-doping test.
