This Tuesday (30), the Netflix released to the public the first teaser trailer for the “Senna” series, which will tell the story of Brazilian driver Ayrton Senna in Formula 1. The miniseries will tell the idol’s journey from his move to England to compete in Formula Ford, until his death in Ímola, in 1994. The pilot’s death will be 30 years old this Wednesday (01).
“After him, Brazil was never the same. Senna is a fiction miniseries inspired by the life story, incredible career and family relationships of the greatest F1 driver of all time. Starring Gabriel Leone, it premieres in 2024”, says the publication on YouTube by Netflix.
“Senna” will have six episodes and will be released in 2024, but there is no specific date yet. Production was carried out in four countries: Argentina, Brazil, the United Kingdom and Uruguay.
Ayrton will be played by Brazilian Gabriel Leone. The cast also includes Alice Wegmann (Lilian, Ayrton’s first wife), Camila Márdila (Vivianne Senna, his sister), Christian Malheiros (Maurinho, the pilot’s friend), Gabriel Louchard (Galvão Bueno), Hugo Bonemer (Nelson Piquet), Julia Foti (Adriane Galisteu), Marco Ricca (Maurão, Ayrton’s father), Susana Ribeiro (Zaza, Ayrton’s mother), Pâmela Tomé (Xuxa), Nicolas Cruz (Leonardo Senna), Rodrigo Veloso (Flávio, Senna’s brother-in-law) and Antônio Menqui (Senna as a child).
Ayrton Senna died in an accident at the San Marino Grand Prix, in Imola, Italy, on May 1, 1994.
