Forquilhinha volleyball debuts with victories in the State Championship

Vôlei de Forquilhinha/Association of Parents and Friends of Vôlei de Forquilhinha (APAV) had a weekend with two competitions. The U16 boys team debuted with victories in the State Championship, in Florianópolis. The team was led by coach Jean Bonetti, and played three games between Saturday and Sunday, the 27th and 28th. There were two victories against ABV/CME Braço do Norte (3×0) and Elase/Florianópolis (3×2) and one result negative for Blumenau (0x3). The matches took place at the Elase Sports Gym. The U14 women’s team also played and competed in the first stage of the Santa Catarina Volleyball League, in São Ludgero.

For coach Jean Bonetti, the games were exciting. “We won the first two games against traditional teams from Santa Catarina. The game against Elase/Florianópolis was exciting and we managed to beat them inside the opponent’s court. We did very well. However, this Sunday, some athletes had stomach discomfort and this contributed to our performance on the court. Against Blumenau, we fought, we fought on the court, but we came out with a negative result”, he details.

Women’s team
The U14 women’s team went to São Ludgero to compete in the first stage of the Santa Catarina Volleyball League. The team led by coach Thainá Ribeiro, with the help of Alexandre Zappelini, won the three games they played and did not lose a single set.
Furthermore, the Forquilhinha/APAV winger, Vitória de Brida Forgiarini, was chosen as the featured athlete of the stage. “We managed to be efficient on the court and won the three games we played. With that, we started very well in the competition. Now, it’s time to rest, review the games and correct the details for the next championships. We finished the first stage very satisfied with our athletes”, commented Thainá.
