Asked about the difference in the team’s performance in games at the Ligga Arena and away from home, the coach said that Furacão is under no obligation to win all matches as a visitor.

“You are very critical. Charge that against Danubio he didn’t score, playing with an alternative team. I value every victory. I respect your idea, but I don’t agree. Every victory is very important. If not, we will come here to Caxias and think we have to beat Juventude. It’s not like this. Juventude has a great team. Why do you have to come here and have an obligation to win? You have to have the desire to win”, he replied.

Cuca also evaluated Athletico’s performance. According to the commander, the team only performed poorly in the first 15 minutes of the match, when they conceded the opponent’s goal.

“We started the game very badly. Juventude started very well, at a different, accelerated pace. And it took us a while to get into the game. The first 15 minutes were not good, and Juventude took the lead. Afterwards, we balanced the match and ended the first half with control of the game”, he analyzed.
“In the end, we were bad again, we lost the match. We wanted to win, so we opened the team up defensively. Unfortunately, we gave Juventude a lot of counterattacks in moves where we could have lost. Apart from the beginning and end of the game, we had total control of the match and we could have won”, added the coach.
The coach also summarized that Furacão’s overall performance was good. “The performance was good. If we take away the beginning of the game, which was bad, and our ending, the other context of the game was controlled by us. We had the best situations in the game. You have to separate the parts that were good from the parts that weren’t good and work on that”, he concluded.
