Midfielder André gave the Fluminense fans a huge scare on Thursday night (25/4). When he was injured, at the end of the first half of the match against Cerro Porteño (0-0 draw), in the Copa Libertadores, he left the pitch crying, with pain in his right knee. To make matters worse, after the confrontation, the player left the General Rojas stadium, in Asunción, walking with the aid of crutches.

Although the club has not yet confirmed any type of injury to the player, there is concern that the case is serious.

The possibility of an injury that could sideline André in the long term made Fluminense himself speak out on social media. In a statement, Flu stated that the midfielder suffered a knee injury and will undergo a reevaluation starting this Friday.

The tendency is for André to carry out exams soon after the tricolor delegation returns to Brazil.

André plays against Corinthians?

The degree of the likely midfielder’s injury is not yet known, but it is certain that he will not be among those listed for Sunday’s clash, against Corinthians, in the Brazilian Championship.

Throughout the current season, André took to the field in 16 matches and his game against Cerro was the first in this year’s Libertadores.

About to reach 200 matches for Flu, the midfielder has made 185 appearances with the tricolor shirt, scoring four goals.
