Patrick: loan or purchase?
On the 19th, the Santos announced the signing of the attacking midfielder Patrick. After weeks of negotiations, the 31-year-old player accepted Peixe’s project to return to the elite of Brazilian football.

Our reporting team found that Patrick agreed to earn within the salary cap at Peixão. The attacking midfielder will receive R$300,000 per month. There are 32 months of agreement until December 2026, that is, an investment of R$9.5 million approximately.
A total operation agreed by football director Alexandre Gallo and the Minas Gerais amount was US$1 million, around R$5.1 million at the price on the day the athlete signed with Peixão. Coach Fábio Carille had previously approved his hiring.

There will be 12 installments of 83 thousand dollars (R$ 430 thousand at the current exchange rate). Santos kept 80% of the athlete’s economic rights, while Galo kept 20% with a view to a future sale.
Initially, Patrick comes to help the offensive sector, which lost Pedrinho for the duel against Avaí, this Friday (26), in the Brasileirão Série B 2024 due to a pubic injury.
Patrick’s tactical role with Carille
From the middle forward, Carille currently has Otero, Cazares, Giuliano, Guilherme, Pedrinho, Furch, Morelos, Miguelito, Weslley Patati and Enzo Monteiro. Patrick can help especially on the edge, like a kind of ‘shirt 11’, but with the option of also playing as a second striker.
