Madson scored with a header against Danubio
In a low rotation game, the Athletico won the Danube 1-0 this Wednesday (24), at the Centenário Stadium, in Uruguay. The only goal came from right-back Madson. With the victory, Furacão maintains 100% in the South American Championship with three victories.

With a mixed team, Furacão controlled the first half. The best technical quality prevailed after 16 minutes. After a corner kick from Zapelli, Madson got rid of the marking and opened the scoring with a header. The goal made Athletico slow down.
Likewise, in the final stage, Furacão only managed the match. The team’s sluggishness, however, bothered the fans. Cuca took the opportunity to test some athletes. Young Renan Viana, Jader, Dudu and Marcos André had their first opportunities with the new coach. The Uruguayan team didn’t scare goalkeeper Bento.
- With the victory, Furacão leads Group E of the South American Championship with nine points. The next match of the tournament will be against Rayo Zuliano on May 8th, Wednesday, at 7pm, in Venezuela.
- Rubro-Negro returns to the field against Juventude on Sunday (28), at 6:30 pm, at Alfredo Jaconi, for the fourth round of the Brasileirão.
