Giulia Takahashi and Guilherme Teodoro beat quali in Varazdin

On the second day of the WTT Feeder in Varazdin, Croatia, Brazilians Giulia Takahashi and Guilherme Teodoro defeated a Kazakh duo and advanced to the main draw of the competition. In the next stage, they will face Croatians Lea Rakovac and Ronald Redjep, looking for a place in the quarterfinals of the mixed doubles group.


In the last clash in the qualifying round, Giulia and Guilherme beat Aidos Kenzhigulov and Sarvinoz Mirkadirova, from Kazakhstan, by a score of 3-0 (11/8, 11/6 and 11/6). Previously, they had debuted with victory over Temuulen Myandal and Undram Munkhbat of Mongolia, also triumphing 3-0 (11/5, 11/8 and 12/10). Now, the match against Lea Rakovac and Ronald Redjep, the home team, will take place in the next few days, with no set time yet.

In addition to competing in the mixed doubles, Giulia Takahashi and Guilherme Teodoro will also compete in the individual brackets of the WTT in Varazdin. In the women’s category, she will debut against Frenchwoman Audrey Zarif, currently 101st in the world rankings, in a game valid for the first round. Likewise, among men, Teodoro will open his participation against the Taiwanese Feng Yi-Hsin (93rd in the world). Both Brazilian table tennis players are expected to take action this Thursday (4).
