Sauber and RB will conduct tire tests at Suzuka

In a crucial move for the development of the Formula 1 season, two teams are preparing for significant testing at the iconic Suzuka circuit in Japan. Sauber and RB have been selected for a vital role next week, taking part in tests dedicated to the evolution of tire compounds and structures from Pirelli, the exclusive tire supplier for F1.

The tests, scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, aim to evaluate new developments that Pirelli is considering for the future of F1. These test days are not only an opportunity for Pirelli to collect valuable data, but they also allow the Sauber and RB teams to get an early look at potential tire changes.

The choice of Suzuka for these tests is no coincidence. The Japanese circuit, known for its challenging curves and famous initial “S”, offers a unique combination of conditions that test tire durability and performance to the extreme. It is an ideal place to evaluate how new compounds and constructions perform in real racing conditions.
