Fluminense finished preparing for the debut of the Conmebol Libertadores, against Alianza Lima, this Tuesday. The activity in the Peru team’s CT was marked by an “invasion” by the local press. Tricolor received almost 90 accreditation requests – all accepted – for training and a press conference with Samuel Xavier, who celebrated the strong presence of the Peruvians.

– We are the current champion and everyone wants to follow. We are happy and we know the responsibility – said the full-back at a press conference.
Employees of the Peru national team’s CT even reported having never seen such a concentration of journalists at an activity in La Videna.
– These days were really good, we worked really hard. Particularly for me, it was very good because I wasn’t able to do pre-season because of injuries. I was able to do these full training sessions. I believe it was good for the entire team. We worked well, the teacher gave us a lot of intense training that we weren’t able to do during the World Cup and the beginning of the State Championships – he said, adding:
– It’s bad to lose athletes to injuries, but that’s part of football. We believe a lot in our squad. This is a test for us, putting those who weren’t having the opportunity and making the most of it in the best possible way – added Samuel.
