Portuguese Artur Jorge has a defined technical committee at Botafogo

After the Portuguese press reported that Portuguese coach Artur Jorge, from Braga-POR, would not come, John Textor assured that the contract was signed and the club awaits the arrival of the coach in Rio de Janeiro after the match against Portimonense in the Portuguese Championship. Botafogo paid 3 million euros (around R$16 million) for the professional’s immediate release.

Artur Jorge will be accompanied by four other members of the technical committee. The names were revealed by journalist Matheus Medeiros, in a live broadcast that was attended by the majority shareholder of SAF Alvinegra. Franclim Carvalho and João Cardoso are technical assistants. André Cunha will be the performance analyst. Tiago Lopes will perform the role of physical trainer.

While the new coach does not arrive, Fabio Matias – who has eight wins and one draw – continues to manage the team on an interim basis. He will be on the edge of the pitch against Junior de Barranquilla, from Colombia, this Wednesday (03), at the Nilton Santos stadium, in a match valid for his debut in the Libertadores da América.
