The Civil Police of Amazonas (PC-AM), through the 51st Interactive Police Station (DIP) of Benjamin Constant (1,121 kilometers from Manaus), served, on Thursday (05/02), a warrant for the preventive arrest of a man, 48, for rape of a vulnerable person committed against a 10-year-old child. The crime occurred in March this year, in the rural area of that municipality.
According to delegate Mayara Magna, from the 51st DIP of Benjamin Constant, the police team became aware of the fact after the mother and child attended the police station to report what had happened.
“In specialized listening, the victim reported that the crime began with verbal attitudes on the part of the perpetrator, who is his father’s cousin. She also said that between the 23rd and 24th of March the man slept at her residence, and that was when he committed the sexual abuse against her”, reported the delegate.
Days after the crime, according to the delegate, the victim told his mother what had happened. The person responsible, in turn, brought the case to the attention of the police authorities.
“Due to the seriousness of the case, we represented the preventive detention of the individual and managed to arrest him in a community in the rural area of the municipality”, highlighted the delegate.
The man will be charged with rape of a vulnerable person and will be available to justice.
