Governor of Rio Grande do Sul, Eduardo Leite has been sleeping four hours a day. The work on the frontline of the greatest climate tragedy ever faced in the history of the people of Rio Grande do Sul is constant.
“The night and early morning have been used to try to download the large volume of messages I have received with many offers of support for the state. So, I’ve been going to sleep around 2am and waking up at 6am”, says Leite.
This week, the governor announced the release of emergency resources worth around 200 million reais.
