Minister had already ordered the blocking of the influencer’s profiles after accusing him of publishing “fraudulent news”

The minister of the STF (Supreme Federal Court) Alexandre de Moraes ordered new investigations on Thursday (May 2, 2024) against influencer Bruno Monteiro Aiub, known on social media as Monark.

According to information from CNNthe action follows a request from the PGR (Attorney General’s Office) to carry out additional investigations into the influencer’s potentially irregular posts.

The PF (Federal Police) must add registration data and analysis of the content of Monark’s channels, profiles and blocked accounts to the process within a period of up to 30 days.

In June 2023, Moraes ordered the blocking of the YouTuber’s profiles on social media. The minister argued that he had shared “fraudulent news” on the functioning of the Court and the TSE (Superior Electoral Court).

Despite the lockdown, Monark created a channel on Spotify and ran a live alongside Allan dos Santos, who also faces restrictions on his profiles. In August 2023, Monark was fined R$300,000 for failing to comply with the court decision by making new publications.

Now, the STF minister also asks the PF to clarify whether any measures were taken to confirm Monark’s participation in the podcast. In January, the Federal Police concluded that Monark committed the crime of judicial disobedience by creating new profiles on social media.
