We are going to request that some type of solution be forwarded to the Unified National Competition. I don’t know how to evaluate which at this moment, but I have confidence that some kind of solution will be given by the Federal Government, so as not to punish the population of Rio Grande do Sul, who intended to participate in the contest and who will have restrictions at this time due to the weather conditions that have broken roads and affected families , which have countless problems in these locations”, he said.
After the governor’s statement, the MGI informed that the organization of the Unified National Competition was “monitoring the situation in Rio Grande do Sul with a team on site and in dialogue with local authorities”.

According to the latest Civil Defense bulletin of Rio Grande do Sul, published at 6pm this Thursday, 2,154 municipalities had already been affected, with 4,645 people in shelters and another 10,242 homeless.

CNU notice provides for refund of registration fee
The Unified Competition notice foresees situations like the current one in Rio Grande do Sul.
According to item 11.16 of the opening notice, “the candidate affected by logistical problems, during the application of the tests of the Unified National Public Competition, may request a refund of the amount paid as registration fee within five working days after the day of application of the tests”.
Item 11.16.1 of the document says that “logistical problems are considered, for the purposes of refunding the amount paid as registration fees, supervening, peculiar, eventual or force majeure factors, such as: natural disasters (which harm the application of the CPNU due to the compromise of the local infrastructure) , lack of electricity (which compromises the visibility of the test due to the absence of natural light) that causes proven, unpredictable and insurmountable harm to the candidate”.
In other words, with the government’s decision to maintain the tests on May 5th, candidates who are unable to access their test locations or who withdraw from the application due to the situation in the state must have the possibility of refunding the registration fee.

In total, Rio Grande do Sul registered 80,348 subscribers for the Unified National Competition. The state has ten cities to take the testsbeing them:

Unified Competition tests will be in two shifts
Candidates for the Unified Competition will be evaluated by objective and discursive tests in the morning and afternoon shifts, May 5th. Check the times:

- Application ends: 11:30 am

In the morning shift, those enrolled in higher level blocks (1 to 7) must answer 20 objective questions on General Knowledge and one essay question on Specific Knowledge.
For the medium level block (8), participants will do 20 multiple choice questions and an essay.
In the afternoon, for higher level blocks (1 to 7), 50 objective Specific Knowledge questions will be asked.
Candidates in the middle level block (8) will ask another 40 objective questions.
Anyone who scores less than 40% in the objective tests of General and Specific Knowledge or a score of zero in the discursive test will be eliminated.
