Apple announces Beats Solo 4 and Solo Buds as new headphones with Spatial Audio and more

-

Apple is expanding the Beats headphone portfolio this Tuesday (30) with the launch of the Beats Solo 4 and Solo Buds. After several leaks, the accessories are finally made official with a focus on cost-benefit, but bringing several advanced features that guarantee immersive experiences and long battery life.

Beats Solo 4

The long-awaited successor to the 2016 model, the Beats Solo 4 brings small design changes that give it a premium look. This over-ear headset features a new acoustic architecture that promises balanced sound wired or wireless, supporting dynamic head tracking to deliver Personalized Spatial Audio.

Its UltraPlush cushions, combined with a total weight of just 217 grams, guarantee greater comfort during use. It is possible to control music and answer incoming calls on the device using the “b” button, in addition to adjusting the volume level and pairing the accessory with your cell phone, notebook or other device quickly.

There are two usage options: wired or wireless. You can connect a USB-C or 3.5 mm cable to enjoy music in Lossless Audio, ensuring maximum sound fidelity. For those who prefer the convenience of a wire-free experience, Beats Solo 4 supports Bluetooth 5.3 with Class 1, with enough power to support distances of up to 100 meters.

For voice calls, the product features updated microphones with an intelligent “noise learning” algorithm, which promises to improve the clarity of the sound captured. Unfortunately, the microphones do not have active noise cancellation (ANC) functionality.

One of the highlights of the accessory is the battery with enough power to deliver up to 50 hours of playback on a single charge. If the battery runs out, it is still possible to use the headset using a 3.5 millimeter audio cable. A quick 10-minute charge via the USB-C port guarantees up to 5 extra hours of playback, according to Beats.

Another highlight is its broad compatibility with Android and iOS, including fast pairing and support for Apple’s Search network and Google’s Find My Device. Furthermore, for iPhone users, the phone is capable of recognizing the command “Hey, Siri”, which activates the Apple cell phone’s virtual assistant.

A more compact option, Beats Solo Buds are presented as a cheaper alternative to Beats Studio Buds, which were launched for R$1,799 in Brazil. These completely wireless headphones feature dual-layer speakers designed to minimize distortion and direct sound directly to the user’s ear.

Its design is designed with a focus on lightness and comfort. The box includes four different sizes of silicone tips so that the user can choose the option with the best fixation. The accessories have a “b” button at each point, whose functionality can be configured directly through Settings on iOS or through the Beats app on Android.

Like the Beats Solo 4, the compact headphones also feature microphones that reduce the noise level in voice calls through intelligent algorithms. The battery of each earphone has capacity to deliver up to 18 hours of continuous playback. A quick 5-minute charge yields 1 extra hour of autonomy.

Beats Solo Buds also feature native one-tap pairing support on Android and iOS, as well as supporting Apple’s Search network and Google’s Find My Device, allowing them to be found anywhere if lost.
