Closing of MG-010 causes inconvenience to Confins employees and passengers

The protest this Tuesday (30/4), in the Administrative City of Minas Gerais (CAMG), which brought together military, civil and criminal police, military firefighters, socio-educational agents, various union leaders and parliamentarians, ended with Military Police vehicles closing both directions of MG-010, in front of the state government headquarters.

The situation caused inconvenience for those traveling in both directions of the highway, as access to Confins Airport was complicated and the buses that would take the servers back to Belo Horizonte also did not have access to the Administrative City.

In addition to a sound truck and the protesters, four vehicles block both directions of the Green Line. A server who did not want to be identified walked almost two kilometers and spoke to our reporter.

“It’s absurd. They want to protest against the governor, but they end up disturbing those who have nothing to do with the issue. We support the police demonstration, but it’s difficult,” he said.

Another server, more excited, simply told the reporter: “It’s ridiculous to do this to us. Lack of respect.”

Traffic released

Traffic on the MG-010 highway, known as Linha Verde, was released at around 6pm. The highway was closed at around 3pm this Tuesday (30/4) and was blocked for three hours by public security officials.

The protest caused the closure of both lanes of the road and resulted in inconvenience for employees of the Administrative City, headquarters of the state government, and passengers heading to Confins airport.

The protesters were expected to proceed in a motorcade to Praça Sete, in the central region of Belo Horizonte, but the event organizers preferred to end the protest in the Administrative City.
