The federal government launched a new initiative called the Believe Program, designed to revolutionize access to credit for women entrepreneurs registered in the Single Registry. This program offers financial support so that they can invest in their businesses, promoting autonomy and economic strengthening.

Understand how Crédito works?

Acredita was created to support informal women or those who want to start a small business. The credit granted can be used in different areas, such as purchasing equipment, raw materials or even opening its own physical space, expanding its activities in the market.

What are the criteria for participating in the believe program?

To be eligible for the program, you must be registered with CadÚnico with up-to-date data and provide support for your family. Furthermore, candidates must formalize their economic operations as Individual Microentrepreneur (MEI).

What impact is expected from the Believe Program?

With the launch of the program, a large volume of resources is expected to be directed to projects led by women, promoting gender equality and female empowerment in the economic context. It is important to highlight that receiving the loan through Crédito does not influence other social benefits, maintaining the safety of participants.

It is estimated that the average loan value is around R$6,000, with a credit guarantee system that the government plans to implement, totaling around R$500 million in 2024.

What are the benefits of the program do you believe?

The Believe in First Step program was launched with an initial investment of R$1 billion, half of which will be released in 2024. This investment aims to generate up to R$12 billion in credit, enabling micro and small entrepreneurs to have access to financing, something previously inaccessible For many.

Program operations can reach up to R$21,000, with a credit limit of up to R$80,000, equivalent to 30% of the Individual Microentrepreneur’s (MEI) revenue. Half of the resources will be allocated to women entrepreneurs, and the program does not charge fees for using the fund.

To simplify access to credit, the Federal Government created the Operations Guarantee Fund (FGO) Believe in First Step, managed by Banco do Brasil. This fund guarantees coverage of up to 100% of the contracted operation, eliminating the need for guarantors or guarantees for small entrepreneurs.

In addition to access to credit, the program offers training and support to entrepreneurs. This includes training and courses to improve your management skills, guidance for developing business plans and growth strategies, and connecting with job and income-generating opportunities.

An inspiring example is that of Maria Francilene, who started with a small loan of R$350 and, today, thanks to the program, is able to generate a monthly income of R$2,000. Her story highlights the positive impact that credit programs can have on the lives of entrepreneurs.

The launch of the program was attended by authorities such as the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad; the Minister of Entrepreneurship, Microenterprise and Small Businesses, Márcio França; the president of Caixa Econômica Federal, Carlos Antônio Vieira Fernandes; the president of Sebrae, Décio Lima; and the president of Banco do Brasil, Tarciana Medeiros.

How to prepare to access Crédito?

Interested parties must keep their data updated in CadÚnico and begin the process of formalizing themselves as a MEI. It is essential to pay attention to government announcements for details on deadlines and procedures for applying and receiving resources.

Building a Better Future

By investing in female entrepreneurs, the government not only stimulates individual economic growth, but also contributes to a more diverse and robust economic base. This is a significant step towards a society with equal opportunities for all genders, making this aspiration a tangible and inspiring reality.
