According to information from Climatempo, this is the fourth heat wave in the country since the beginning of 2024, the result of an area of high pressure in the middle atmosphere, which will act as an atmospheric blockage.

The high pressure system favors the maintenance of dry and hot air, resulting in an increase in temperatures. The phenomenon starts in Mato Grosso do Sul and Paraná, and slowly migrates to the east of the Southeast.

Temperatures can reach and exceed 35º C in several points in the central and western region of São Paulo, northwest of Paraná, Mato Grosso do Sul, Triângulo Mineiro and southern Goiás.

The maximums must be recorded in the afternoon. However, the forecast is that early mornings will also be stuffy, especially in Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraná and west of São Paulo, due to the flow of hot air close to the turn of April to May.
