The trip, which would have lasted a total of 34 hours, was interrupted 17 hours after boarding in the city of Caruaru, in Pernambuco.
The PRF reported that the driver of the vehicle lost control of the steering wheel, hit a protective wall on the side of the road, hit the shoulder and fell onto the road.
There were victims trapped in the wreckage, but the police did not say how many people.
A witness informed the g1 that there were adults and children in the vehicle, and that some people were moving to São Paulo.

In addition to the Fire Department, the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) also provided assistance to the occupants of the collective.
Firefighters washed the runway after the forensic work.
O g1 made contact with the company responsible for the vehicle, but did not receive a response until the most recent update of this report.
