Family donates organ of girl shot in Ponta Grossa

At least seven people will be able to benefit from organs donated by the family of 10-year-old girl Geovana dos Santos Wilczeski, according to the State Department of Health (Sesa).

According to Sesa, the two kidneys, liver, heart and corneas were donated. The organs were harvested this Saturday morning (27).

The secretariat reported that the liver was sent to a recipient in another state and the kidneys are awaiting a compatibility test.

The heart valves, which could help up to two people, and the corneas were sent to tissue banks for processing and evaluation. They will then be distributed to the recipients.

Geovana’s wake is scheduled to take place this Saturday afternoon.

According to police, one of the men arrested is responsible for the shooting. A third suspect remains at large.

The two adults arrested on Thursday must face charges of attempted murder and corruption of minors.
