Three digital influencers were arrested this Wednesday morning (24), during an operation against the illegal sale of marijuana oil over the internet, in Brasília.

The action is carried out in the Federal District, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. In the capital of Rio de Janeiro, agents from the Narcotics Repression Police Station (DRE) operate in Nova Iguaçu, in Baixada. Until the last update of this report, in addition to the influencers, four other people had also been arrested.

The prisoners were identified as Rhaynara Didoff, Letícia Susane Correia and Elisa de Araújo Marden. They have 40 thousand, 34 thousand and 10 thousand followers, respectively. All are from the Federal District.

According to investigations, the criminal group smuggled marijuana oil for electronic cigarettes, so-called vapes. The material arrived packed in pots of wax and arrived in Brazil via Paraguay.

Criminals used digital influencers to reach a larger audience, claiming that the material was used for therapeutic purposes. They also maintained websites and social media accounts. A 25-year-old man, arrested in the operation, was responsible for building the e-commerce platforms.
