On Thursday night (25) in Los Angeles, USA, Eloy Casagrande made his debut as a drummer for Slipknot. The information is still not exactly official – as always, the band is keen to keep the mystery as much as possible and has not indicated in any announcement who the new member is.
But, with each video that emerges, it is possible to identify more details that prove once and for all that the former drummer of Andrew Matos, Glory It is Grave is even the successor of Jay Weinberg behind the accompanying kit Corey Taylor and company.
The most striking sign, in fact, was a “flagra” of the arrow tattoo that Eloy has on her left arm (see below).

Having said all that, it’s clear that the Brazilian’s performance was more than enough for anyone who knows his work to identify him as Slipknot’s new drummer. One of the most emblematic moments for this is the performance of “People = Shit”, which opened the setlist of the show at the small bar Pappy and Harriet’s, held as a preview before the group took the stage at the Sick New World festival this Saturday (27).
After several publications on social media, a high definition video was recently made available showing this part of the show and it is well worth checking out below – not only because of Eloy’s presence but also because of the incredible energy that this night was so Special for lucky fans.
