The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) announced this Tuesday (7) that it has postponed the commitments of all teams in Rio Grande do Sul for 20 days, until May 27.

The information, which was anticipated by ESPNhappens due to the tragedy that is going through the state due to the floods of the last few days.

Therefore, not only are football matches postponed, Guild, International It is Youth at the Brazilian championshipbut also from Caxias, São José and Ypiranga in Series C, Avenida, Novo Hamburgo and Brasil de Pelotas in Series D, plus Grêmio and Inter in the women’s Brazilian Championship.

In total, 42 matches will be impacted, as explained below:

The complete stoppage of the Brazilian Championship, however, will not happen for now.

The CBF is not discussing the matter for now, and the clubs have not taken a position on the matter. ESPN questioned the 20 teams in Series A, but not everyone expressed support for the idea.

The intention of the organization organizing the competition is to use the FIFA Date period to carry out the matches that would be postponed.

It is worth remembering that there would be strikes due to selection on some days in the following months: June, September, October and November.
